Employees from precinct 3 spent most of Monday clearing roadways of downed trees due to the storms that roared through early Monday morning.

Lonnie Reavis, foreman, said he began getting calls at 3 a.m. regarding trees across the road.

Trees are down along many county roads.

Reavis said several power poles and lines fell into the roadway along Bethel Road near the Five Points area. He said the road could be closed several days until power lines are repaired.
